The turrets are very crisp but lack a zero stop. Similarly, the lack of parallax adjustment is also an indication of the cost-cutting. But no real complaints here because the price still is very good. 

The Banner 3-9x40 is clearly a hunting scope and can be used to take down varmints, small and big game alike. This scope can be mounted on most rifles and has also been found useful on slug guns. That expands its use to some other shooting disciplines such as turkey hunting and duck hunt.

As already mentioned, the Banner Dusk & Dawn scope is compatible with most hunting caliber rifles and also slug shotguns. Starting from 10/22 and all the way up to Bergara.  You can mount it on a bolt action hunting rifle, a semi-auto, or a duck hunting shotgun. The scope has all the basic features to suit the application of most rifles. However, high caliber rifles are not recommended for this scope. 

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn?

The Dusk & Dawn scope has a mounting length of 5.8 inches. This is a 1-inch scope and will require rings of the same size. Remember that 1 inch is 25.4 mm so don’t confuse it with 30 mm rings. 

The size of the mount and the type of attachment will depend upon your rifle. Since the scope itself is very lightweight, the installation will suffice with any decent mount. Nothing very heavy or rugged required for mounting. The scope doesn’t come with any hardware whatsoever, so you’ll have to buy everything needed separately.
