Who is CVLIFE?

CVLIFE is a trademark owned by Guangzhou Sunway E-Commerce LLC, China. The company operates in the US under legal permissions and does not have a permanent office address here. It’s legal matters are handled by a renowned lawyer in VA and the company mostly uses third party suppliers and platforms like Amazon and their website to sell their products.

The company was registered in 2014 and has been selling scopes, bipids, flashlights, slings, and red dot/laser sights in the US since 2018. The company doesn’t offer a sizable warranty and its products are mostly covered by refund/money-back policies by the seller.

Why Are CVLIFE Scopes so Popular?

CVLIFE scopes are extremely popular because of their super-cheap pricing. You can find 3-9x rifle scopes from their product line for as low as $25. Additionally, CVLIFE scopes and other products offer a decent quality for the price you pay. Since you obviously cannot expect a $50 scope to perform like a $400 scope because the materials used for construction will differ.

The low price and optimal quality for basic and occasional uses are the major factors that make people buy them. Despite the lack of a good warranty or customer support.

Best Uses for the CVLIFE 2.5-10x40e

This scope features an illuminated reticle coupled with a red laser. This setup is an excellent option for low light hunting. Plus, you just switch to the laser only for close quarter applications like a home defense of tactical operations. Both the scope and the laser sight are fully adjustable to suit all conditions.

The scope also has a ‘tacti-cool’ factor associated with it and is a great product to brag about at the range.

Is the CVLIFE 2.5-10x40e Compatible With Any Rifle?

Yes. This scope is best suited for low caliber rifles. Specifically upto an AR-15 shooting .223 caliber ammo. The scope is not suited for high caliber rifles due to its short eye relief of only 2.5 inches. Otherwise, it works great with .22lr’s and .223 caliber rifles.

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the CVLIFE 2.5-10x40e?

The scope is a value for money product and comes packaged with all the components you need. It includes 3 batteries for the laser, one for scope, lens covers, microfiber cloth, mount, and an Allen key. The scope will easily mount to all standard 20-22mm weaver and Picatinny rails.

Also, note that you’ll need a CVLIFE 11mm mount to install it on a 3/8" / 11mm dovetail. The mount may get loose after 500 rounds or so, so make sure you tighten it.

Best Uses for the CVLIFE 3-9x40 R4 Reticle

This scope from CVLIFE has been specifically designed to suit hunting and target practice. Since the reticle is not illuminated, the use will be limited to appropriate lighting conditions. The 3-9x magnifications make the scope properly usable upto a distance of 600 yards, and that’s where most of the hunting happens. Apart from that, this scope is great for range use and honing your accuracy skills.

Is the CVLIFE 3-9x40 R4 Reticle Compatible With Any Rifle?

The scope is best enjoyed with .22lr rifles. Although you can use it up to .223 rifles. But make sure not to mount it on a .303 or .308 for rigorous shooting sessions. The scope has ample eye relief (3.3 inches) but its overall design and mounting setup is not well suited to harsh recoil. Or you may end up shortening the life of your scope.

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the CVLIFE 3-9x40 R4 Reticle?

Mounting the scope is fairly easy as mount rings suitable for 20mm Picatinny rails have already been included in the package. You’ll have to use your own pair if you plan on mounting it to ⅜” dovetails, '' which a lot of rimfire rifles use.

The rings included in the package are not of the best quality but will do for a .22lr. However, for your peace of mind and using the scope with better rifles. You should put on a new good set of scope rings that’ll eventually cost you about $10 extra.

The scope can sight clearly upto 600 yards and has an R4 reticle for easy on-the-fly estimations. This riflescope is best suited for varmint hunting, target practice, and casual shooting/plinking uses.

It can also be used to identify targets from quite some distance to properly plan your approach.

Is the CVLIFE 3-9x40AO R4 Reticle Compatible With Any Rifle?

This is a 3-9x scope exclusively designed for use with air rifles. Sure it has a variant (reviewed above) that works with real guns. But the kind of recoil this scope can handle is only found with air rifles or .17HMR and .22lr’s. It may work on high calibers for some time, but unwanted sabotage is inevitable.

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the CVLIFE 3-9x40AO R4 Reticle?

The scope mounts on Picatinny rails since it has Picatinny rings. If you have a dovetail on your rifle, you should get an appropriate adapter for mounting. The mounting rings are of decent quality and will work great with low power rifles.

The scope weighs about 1.5 pounds so it will have some impact on the weight balancing of low power rifles. So make sure you position it properly.

This is a high magnifying power scope suitable for taking long-range shots of 1000 yards and more. With that said, this scope is perfect for long-range shooting/hunting, target practice, observation, and precision shooting competitions. The rangefinder reticle adds to the usability of this scope by reducing the need of a spotter and concurrent turret adjustments.

The scope can be used to take down wary animals in the 300-500 yards range. The illuminated reticle will fare well in low light.

Is the CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24x50 Compatible With Any Rifle?

The scope has been designed for rifles shooting .223 caliber and above. The scope is quite long and has an eye relief of 3.5 inches which shall not seem suitable for high caliber rifles. So keep its use limited to .308 caliber and not for very extensive use.

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the CVLIFE Hunting Rifle Scope 6-24x50?

The scope comes with high mounting rings with a 1-inch space to use BUIS in conjunction. The mount works with all standard 20mm Weaver or Picatinny rails and mounting just requires an Allen key. The scope is about 15 inches in length and has low eye relief, so make sure you take care of that. If you have an adjustable stock, the eye relief won’t bother you at all.

Mount the rings fist and then the scope so you don’t have to do it all over again in case of an error. Plus do not tighten the rings too much as they are made up of soft aluminum

This 4x scope will work best with low caliber hunting rifles and even airguns. The eye relief is about 3 inches which obviously isn’t much for high power rifles. Additionally, you won’t find it very useful with bolt action rifles due to the limited magnification and extra sights. The best bet is to use it on a .22lr or an AR-15.

What Do I Need to Know About Mounting the CVLIFE 4x32 Tactical Rifle Scope?

The scope comes with a pre-attached weaver/Picatinny compatible 20mm base that can be screwed upon any suitable platform. Due to its eye relief, the scope has to be positioned by making diligent to and fro movements. The color and brightness adjustment controls are mounted on the top.

Types of Scopes From CVLIFE

CVLIFE has a small but proper line of products. Let’s take a look at what they have to offer in terms of optic scopes

Rifle Scopes

CVLIFE offers a total of 15 rifle scopes out of which some are illuminated, some non-illuminated. Whereas some scopes feature additional fiber optic sights or even lasers. The maximum magnification they offer is 6-24x and the least is 1-4x.

Dot Sight

CVLIFE offers two reflex sights and two red dot sights. Their reflex sights feature many different reticles in red and green colors. One of their reflex sights even has a laser attached to it. Their red dot sight line is small but super affordable for casual uses.

Laser Sight

The company offers one laser sight and three boresights from its inventory. Their laser sights are very popular on the market due to their low price and acceptable quality.

Comparison Overview

Let’s compare CVLIFE with a reputed optic brand to understand the difference in quality and factors you are likely to experience when choosing their scopes.

CVLIFE vs. Nikon

CVLIFE when compared to Nikon is a mere toddler. Nikon has been producing quality optics for decades now and is a well-renowned brand in the industry. Whereas CVLIFE has only been on the market for a couple of years.

CVLIFE scopes definitely win on the factor of price, but Nikon’s quality is another story - a story unmatchable by CVLIFE to some extent. However, that doesn’t mean CVLIFE scopes are junk. They just have their own class.

Nikon scopes were manufactured in Japan and the company has recently announced to discontinue its riflescope line due to negative sales charts. CVLIFE scopes are entirely made in China, but they are good for what they are.

Conclusion

CVLIFE is a new player in the firearm optics market. But has quickly gained popularity and sales volume due to its super-affordable products. The company sells optimal quality scopes for the price, but their use is mostly limited to low caliber rifles and basic applications. However, you’ll definitely find some innovative options in their product line.
